Dr. John Ketchum

Biography

Dr. John Ketchum is the Director of the Geological Survey for the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT). He has held this position since April 2014. He was the GNWT’s Senior Geologist from 2005 to 2014. Prior to this, he held a number of research positions with universities and museums in Canada and Australia.

Dr. Ketchum holds Earth Science degrees from Queens University (B.Sc. 1987) and Dalhousie University (Ph.D. 1995).
