Rhea McDonald

Biography

Rhea McDonald is a beneficiary of the Norman Wells Métis Nation. She has extensive training and experience as an environmental/wildlife monitor, working with industry clients. She has also completed a traditional knowledge study on boreal woodland caribou associated with the Federal Species At Risk assessment process. Working with NWT Environment and Natural Resources wildlife officers, she has assisted in monitoring of wildlife harvesting in the Mackenzie Mountains. She has also participated in the cleanup of the Canol Trail crossing the mountains. She is an active member of the Nı́ o Nę P’ęnę́ Working Group. As President of the Norman Wells Ɂehdzo Got’ı̨ nę, she has been actively involved in supporting on the land research, monitoring and training initiatives. She is a member of the Nę K’ǝ Dene Ts’ı̨ lı̨ Forum.
