artsPlace Canmore is joining the International Mountain Day celebrations by hosting Life @ Altitude, a new event combining storytelling and video to showcase the incredible Rocky Mountains.

Canmore, Alberta, is a small town in the heart of the Bow Valley in the Rocky Mountains. The spectacular Three Sisters peaks tower over the town and create an unforgettable view for visitors and residents alike. Canmore is a hub of mountain outdoor activities including rock climbing, alpine and nordic skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. Canmore is the home of the Alpine Club of Canada and the Canmore Nordic Centre, the training grounds for Canada’s Olympic nordic ski teams.

Leslie Gerein, who chronicles her long distance hiking adventures on her blog Banff Trail Trash, will be sharing stories from her time on the trails at Life @ Altitude. Short videos made in the Rocky Mountains around Canmore will also be shown at the event. For full event details and tickets, please visit artsPlace Canmore.
