The Canadian Mountain Network (CMN)-funded Porcupine Caribou Knowledge Hub is recruiting a Yukon North Slope Knowledge Coordinator. The aim of this position is to lead research on Indigenous Knowledge of ecological change in the summer range of the Porcupine caribou herd. 

Qualifications for the position include:

• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Previous experience working with community organizations
• Planning and implementing community-based research
• Planning and conducting semi-structured interviews

The Porcupine Caribou Knowledge Hub is a partnership between the Porcupine Caribou Management Board, the Wildlife Management Advisory Council (North Slope), the Aklavik Hunters and Trappers Committee, the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, the Gwich’in Renewable Resources Board, Environment Yukon, Parks Canada, the University of Victoria, McGill University, and the University of Edinburgh, and is funded by the Canadian Mountain Network.

There is a flexible deadline for the recruitment of the candidate and submissions will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
