This Wild Spirit: Redux, featuring work by and about women in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, was held at the FAB Gallery from December 6-December 22, 2016 and January 3-7, 2017.

This Wild Spirit: Redux was an abridged installation of This Wild Spirit: Women in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, exhibited by the FAB Gallery and designed by Bernd Hildebrandt in March 2008 marking the University of Alberta’s Centenary. The exhibition, curated by Colleen Skidmore, was based on her book This Wild Spirit Women in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, a part of Mountain Cairns: A series on the history and culture of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

TJ Jans of Curious Arts recently spoke with Colleen Skidmore to discuss This Wild Spirit: the book, the exhibition, and the redux:

The exhibition is travelling to Banff this summer, and will be on display at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies from June 11 – October 22, 2017
